Position Description
The objective is to design and develop embedded software for Symbian core software. The position requires excellent programming skills in C/C++ on Symbian.
Education BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science & Electronics
Experience 2 to 4 yrs total work exp with 2yrs dedicated Symbian Device Driver development.
Mandatory skills:-
Experience in development/testing/integration/validation of Real-time embedded systems, with good understanding of any operating systems used on handset like Symbian (preferred), Linux & Nucleus.
Strong C++/C skills, ARM experience.
Hands on experience of System Power management on any embedded Platform; Based on ARM Platform is a Plus.
Should be able to debug Hardware with Software, knowledge of system issues like Power Optimizations, Performance optimizations.
Hands on experience on writing Device Drivers on embedded platforms like for peripherals (USB preferred, SD/MMC, UART, DMA, power management, Cache, memory...)
Strong Analytical and Debugging skills. Experience in hardware level development/debugging on embedded platforms using emulators/debuggers.
Should have good communication skills to communicate at all levels within the organization Requirements.
Desirable skills:-
Clear Case knowledge. Experience with debuggers, simulators, logiz analyzers, MultiMeter (Hardware Testing tools).
Knowledge of Microcontroller based system testing, Power supplies is plus.
Advantageous to have expertise on Symbian/S60 technologies
Good understanding of hardware architecture and lower layer protocol concepts.
Expertise on technologies like multimedia (audio, video), connectivity like USB, IrDA…, Peripherals, Memory.
Not Desirable:
S60 Application profile and Experience level more than 4 years.

Position Description
Specialists-Architect will work in product requirement analysis ,articulating the architectural vision ,conceptualizing and experimenting with alternative architectural approaches, and creating SW Architecture specifications for chipset Platform (U8500) Symbian/Linux
Education B.Tech /M.Tech (Computer Science or ECE)
Experience 7 to 10 yrs total work experience.
Skills Needed
Expert level knowledge of architecture and design patterns of any Open OS (Symbian, Linux, and Windows Mobile)
Customer facing experience.
First-hand project experience of shipping phone and mobile computer products.
Good knowledge of at least one main area of OS platforms (graphics, communications, multimedia, kernel, UI, apps, etc.).
Good understanding of competitor platforms.
