ROBERT Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions (RBEI) is planning to hire 1000 engineers, most of them from engineering colleges by the end of this year, as it sees revival in the automotive industry and more outsourcing contracts. This is a 67% jump compared to the hiring made last year by Bosch.
RBEI, a 100%-owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH, having around 6000 associates, is also planning to give a pay hike of 10-15% from the first week of April this year for its existing employees and freshers, a top official said.
"The market sentiments are very positive, particularly for us, in India. We want to catch the engineering talent much earlier. Europe is also slowly coming out of the recession", RBEI vice-president (human resources) Augustine VD said. Bosch will do campus hiring in the month of June and July and has also started doing lateral hiring.
These engineers will be absorbed in software areas such as engineering services, IT and business services with basic competency in automotive-embedded applications, SAP, Oracle and Microsoft software. The salaries offered for the freshers will be in the range of Rs 3-4 lakh per annum.
