Harsha Upadhyaya, the fund manager at DSP Blackrock Mutual Fund, is set to join Kotak Mutual Fund as its head of equities next month, said sources familiar with the development. Harsha, who joined DSPBRIM in July last year from UTI AMC where he worked for about five years between 2006 and 2011, managed DSP Blackrock Focus 25 Fund and their technology fund. Prior to this he was part of the corporate finance team at the Reliance Group. Harsha an engineering graduate from NIT, Karnataka also holds a CFA charter from the US CFA Institute. Despite repeated attempts, Harsha could not be reached for a comment. An official spokesperson for Kotak Mahindra group declined to comment.
