This mid cap-oriented fund is one of the most consistent outperformers in its category, and has beaten its category average every year since 2009. For its relatively small size, the fund portfolio is hugely diversified with around 70 stocks.Even the top picks have a limited exposure. The fund is tilted towards smallcaps compared to many peers and appears very conscious of the risk play ing in this segment--hence the exposure is spread very thin across stocks. The portfolio construction is completely benchmark agnostic, with the fund manager adopting a free-wheeling approach and relying strictly on a bottom-up research.
