Maximum loan amount is Rs 7.5 lakh for studies in India

Maximum loan amount is Rs 15 lakh for studies abroad

No margin for loans up to Rs 4 lakh

For loans above Rs 4 lakh, 5 per cent margin for studies within India and 15 per cent for higher studies overseas.
